We tell customers that our hair lasts over three years. That is true — but only for the ones who care for it. The same bundle can last four years or four months depending on five habits.

1. Wash less than you think
Every two weeks is plenty for bundles, or once a week if you use a lot of product. Over-washing strips the cuticle and makes the hair feel dry even when it is not.
Use a sulphate-free shampoo, wash in a downward motion from root to tip, and never scrub the hair into a ball.
2. Deep condition, then rinse cold
Once a month, apply a deep conditioner for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Cold water closes the cuticle and locks in shine. Hot water opens it and lets moisture escape.
3. Detangle from the ends up
Start at the tips with a wide-tooth comb and work upward in small sections. Starting at the root pushes tangles down and creates matting that is hard to reverse.
4. Braid before bed
This is the single habit that separates hair that lasts years from hair that lasts months. Loosely braid or twist the hair, cover it with a satin scarf or bonnet, and never sleep on cotton.
5. Keep heat under 180C and always use protection
Virgin hair can be straightened and curled, but repeated high heat is what kills it. Use a heat protectant every time, and keep the iron under 180C (350F).
The five mistakes that ruin bundles fastest
- Brushing while the hair is dry and tangled.
- Sleeping without protection — cotton pillowcases pull the cuticle.
- Using clarifying shampoo every wash.
- Leaving chlorine or salt water in the hair after swimming.
- Bleaching the knots too long, which dries the base of the hair.
What to buy
All bundles in our virgin bundle collection are cuticle-aligned, so they stay smooth with the routine above. Our tape-in and I-tip extensions follow the same care rules — just skip the heavy oils near the bonds.
If your hair is already tangling at the ends, send us a photo on WhatsApp. Sometimes the fix is a trim, not a new bundle.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I wash bundles I wear daily?
Once a week is enough for daily wear. If you are not using heavy products, every two weeks is fine and actually better for the cuticle.
Can I use regular shampoo?
Use a sulphate-free formula. Sulphates strip the natural oils that keep virgin hair soft, and once the cuticle is stripped it does not fully recover.
Why is my hair tangling at the ends?
Almost always one of three things: dry ends, split ends from heat, or not braiding before bed. Trim about half an inch, deep condition, and protect the hair at night.
Can I colour virgin bundles?
Yes. Virgin hair lifts well because it has not been chemically processed. Go to a professional for anything beyond a shade or two — box dye on bundles is where most damage happens.
